Welcome Home Mary Grace Elbow!

Many of you have spoken to Joe Elbow or read his emails sent out from Holy Family Now website. Joe and his wife Amy have been working behind the scene for years to bring our ministry up to date, to help organize and so free us up to spend more time doing what we do best at parishes around the country.

We do not know how we could have traveled these past (almost three!) years without the Elbow family assisting us in so many ways.

Joe and Amy, along with their daughter Katie have been praying for a long time about a new addition to their family. Days ago they all flew to Ethiopia to meet their new daughter Mary Grace for the first time.

We are so excited for this family and we ask you to please join us in praying them safely home in the next couple of days.

Joe, Amy, and Katie, we rejoice with you and with glad hearts we join you in saying:
"Mary Grace: Welcome home!"

Lourdes and a Chuckle

One hundred plus degrees here in Oklahoma. Also, we can't say it is a "dry heat" like the Arizona days...

Before posting the next reflection about our Lourdes visit - I thought I'd add this summer fun picture to let you laugh a bit.

(Note: I was told no one was injured in this house fire!)

For those who just see a burned house... read the sign posted in the front yard. For those who can't read the sign sign it says: "Psychic Readings" There is a phone number below that I blurred out.

This is the second structure I have seen with my own eyes that was owned or rented by a fortune teller or Psychic where fire damage was not 'forseen'. The first was in Northern California and this one was in Connecticut. I feel a little guilty for laughing about this but can you fault me for it? I could not pass up this photo-op!
